Mercedes Hell “Kingdom Together” (2009)

REALITY ROCK ‘N’ ROLL!

I’ve always enjoyed a dangerous car race or two at night, blame it on my unavoidable desire to die under the moon’s reflections. When for my birthday I received a new Mercedes, everyone present knew that its speed pedal was going to lead me straight into Hell, so I had to find the perfect soundtrack to my celebrated death. Kingdom Together forced its music into my mind as I was looking for the most badass AGMetal record to die with. Why is that, I hear you ask? Well, in a weird way, the music presented here might be the common ground between Macho Heavy Metal, Rock ‘n’ Rolling Boogie, Third Grade Primary School Poetry, Retarded (Han) Solos, Primary Scream Therapy in Praxis and a bit of FuckedUpNess thrown in for good measure. The AG-Factor in this M-essy rural affair won’t be screaming at you all the time, but as I think it should be made clear enough, NWOFHM represents what AGMetal could have been like between 1978 and 1985, although it’s being played by hair-polluted and highly radioactive hominids in their late thirties, circa 2009. When something new sounds old like nothing which actually is old, what you get will as much remind you of a new past as it is forward-thinking your mind into the oldest future.

TODAY IS TOMORROW!
