Tractor Pulling “Ghost Hunger Land” (2007)

I’M A HOT DOG!

Lately I’ve been cutting my grass twice a week, and I was looking for the perfect album to drive my high speed, low speed garden tractor with. After a few weeks of doubt and exploration, the choice came easy – Tractor Pulling, from Finland, won the bet. Like any other corroded machinery, Ghost Hungerland sounds harsh and partly detuned, which doesn’t mean it’s neighter catchy nor full of poppies, as there definitely is a sense of being hooked on to something, even during the first listening session which will naturally imply multiple W.T.F. reactions as Tractor Pulling’s ex-perimentation mainly takes place among Unfit Weed riffing, Black Pitch Soil drumming with much Abandoned Barns screaming. More mid-pace Thrash Noir than Speed Heavy in its reconfiguration of the past, this short EP maximizes the strenght of my fists as well as stretching the width of my merciless smiles. When you’re not so sure anymore whether something is supposed to be funny, what you get might be a serious joke.

MY TRACK IS ON FIRE!
