Don't think she was mentioned, and since I saw them last night it is apropos, Jackie Perez Gratz of Grayceon certainly deserves a giant nod.

patricia from thanatoschizo..awesome band, great vocalist (gypsy-ish metal ala prime In The Woods but more progressive)

cindy from hypnosis ---way underated band and vocalist (close to industrial death metal)

interstingly both of them duet with growlers and clean male vox to great and unique effect....and thakfully sound different from the sea of female fronted mediocrity that is sadly called "gothic/symphonic metal" these days..

You are very welcome. Again, not sure if she was mentioned also, but Dominique Persi of Stolen Babies is a great vocalist.

i have to mention Hecate... she's crazy, and somehow manages to mix breakcore with black metal, absolutely chaotic.

Well, apart of the above mentioned Leilindel (unexpect) and Dominique Persi (Stolen Babies), I think these are worth mentioning:

Asphodel (Pin-Up Went Down) - she sings various styles, but not growling

Nehl Aëlin (Akphaezya) - she's very diverse, and has a powerful growl, certainly one of the highlights of Anthology II

Btw I've found the To-Mera vocalist rather monotone, I was expecting more. Does anyone agree or did I skip the good parts?

Kirsti Huke has great voice and she has done collaborations with some avant-garde acts (The Soundbyte, 3rd and the mortal, Calmcorder)
also samples from her jazz band Kirsti Huke Quartet sounds nice

Post Cynthia Witthoft
I've recently discovered a Polish guitarist by the name of Cynthia Witthoft. Her music is pretty eclectic instrumental shred-type stuff, sort of like the Marty Friedman/Tony MacAlpine stuff. She's very good. However,...

There's a lot of controversy surrounding her. In fact, it appears that she may actually be a hoax, i.e., an "Internet Character", and that her music (a huge catalog of dozens of albums that date back to 1992) may just be copies of other peoples' music compiled under her name. There are a lot of weird videos on YouTube and GoogleVideo under her name that appear to be "fan" made. And her album cover pictures all appear to be of Photoshopped and modified "porn stars". The one existing interview with her is a jumbled mess of untranslatable ramblings.

Can anyone confirm/deny the existence of this person/character? I like the music I've heard, but am I just listening to unreleased Jason Becker B-Sides??

Just Google her name and see what comes up. There is also a "blog" on her that is set up by a fan at:
http://cynthiawitthoft.blogspot.com/
Note that there may be "questionable" material at this blog, including some links to downloads, etc., so be warned.

I'm really curious and fascinated about this phenomenon of "Internet Character" hoaxes. This may be one, or she may really be a very talented, yet unknown Polish female guitarist.

I definetly agree that To-Mera's singer from what I've heard ain't that spectacular. I think it's such a pity there aren't more bands like Stolen Babies or Pin-Up Went Down, totally creative, wonderful female singers. I know some female fronted bands, but they either aren't that avant-garde or that metal. But why not post them here?

There's Betty X, very interesting mixture of metal sound and punk brutalitly, how it is described. From time to time sounds very aggressive

Then there's Mary Magdalan, something between metal, industrial and whatever, but her voice is amanzingly crazy

And last but not least, I'd recommend Hope the singer of Technikult Of Flesh and The Drowning Crib, both bands are some mixture of gothic, metal, electro sound and more. She doesn't growl, but she surely sounds different somehow.
