There comes a time in every metal listeners life when he/she must ask him/herself what it is that he/she wants from the endless gutter of genres and sub-genres. Perhaps you have asked yourself that already. Perhaps you like it dark, black and dense with no light being able to escape from a music equivalent to a black hole. Perhaps you like it trve, kvlt, and Norwegian with blistering riffs, rough and interesting crashes storming in only to hammer on your ear drum with no mercy. You might prefer it explicitly anti-religious and cold-heartedly bellowed out by a voice suitable for any demon, ghoul or evil entity. And perhaps you have a soft-spot for seemingly everlasting energetic drummers that empowers all other instruments that altogether combine into a raw mass semi-comparable to IMMORTAL, KVIST, INQUISITION, and even AETERNUS. If you do, then the self-titled EP from Trondheim-based LEGIONES is something for you. The two tracks Threat of Captivity and Against Judah are perfect combinations of all things mentioned above and are released through Duplicate Records. LEGIONES remember that name.
